Mechatronics Engineer

Position Overview:

A Mechatronics Engineer designs, develops, and maintains intelligent systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering principles. They work on automated machinery, robotics, control systems, and smart devices across industries like manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, healthcare, and consumer electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Design & Integration:

    • Develop and optimize mechatronic systems such as robotics, automated manufacturing lines, and smart appliances.

    • Integrate mechanical components, sensors, actuators, and control software for seamless operation.

  2. Control Systems & Automation:

    • Design and program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), microcontrollers, and embedded systems.

    • Implement feedback control systems (PID, neural networks, etc.) for precision automation.

  3. Prototyping & Testing:

    • Build and test prototypes using CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink), and 3D printing.

    • Troubleshoot and refine systems for performance, reliability, and safety.

  4. Software & AI Integration:

    • Write firmware and software for real-time control using C/C++, Python, and LabVIEW.

    • Incorporate machine learning and IoT technologies for smart, adaptive systems.

  5. Collaboration & Project Management:

    • Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.

    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, IEEE).

  6. Maintenance & Optimization:

    • Diagnose and repair faults in existing systems.

    • Upgrade legacy systems with modern automation and AI capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in CAD, PLC programming, and embedded systems.

    • Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet/IP).

    • Experience with robotics (ROS, robotic arms, drones) is a plus.

  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, effective teamwork, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

Production Manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and above.
  • Relevant industry experience of 9+ years.
Key Resposibilities
  • Work hands-on with the manufacturing team in building and machining processes.
  • Supervise daily operations of the shop floor, including task assignments and schedule management.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new shop employees.
  • Provide training to employees on tools, safety procedures, and manufacturing standards.
  • Issue warnings, discipline, or terminate employees not meeting company performance or quality standards.
  • Plan and schedule assembly tasks for all projects in alignment with project timelines and deadlines.
  • Review completed work to ensure quality standards are met and projects are delivered within budget.
  • Enforce health and safety policies, ensuring the workshop remains clean, safe, and well-organized.
  • Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assist engineers and project managers in addressing and resolving design or customer-related issues.
  • Maintain adequate levels of tooling and consumables to support ongoing production requirements.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Utilize basic computer skills for scheduling, logging, and documentation purposes.
  • Update the project logbook with any changes or additions to the manufacturing scope.
  • Support the engineering and drafting teams by adhering to correct manufacturing standards and practices.
  • Understand machine design concepts and automation line workflows.
  • Perform mechanical testing, ensuring all components are assembled as per general arrangement drawings and industry standards.

PLC Programmer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • PLC technical certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a PLC programmer.
  • Experience in both electrical and mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes.
  • Understanding of software design principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC automation software and programming languages.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel when required.
Responsibilities:
  • Meeting with clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs.
  • Drawing electrical or mechanical schematics to demonstrate how processes will work.
  • Developing and installing machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages.
  • HMI programming and control panel designing.
  • Determining machine automation test criteria before the final installation.
  • Testing automated systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
  • Troubleshooting system errors.
  • Overseeing the successful installation of PLC programs.
  • Documenting development processes.
  • Providing clients with technical support.
  • Traveling to clients' locations.
